The boys are home...

Roy and Dalton left Friday morning for Las Vegas and walked in the door about 5:30pm tonight. There was a Boy Scout camp that was offering several of the merit badges that Dalton needed. I always miss my boys when they are gone. But...I'm not going to lie, it was nice to have 2.5 days to myself. I kind of just hung around. Did some shopping, visited family, and a little laundry. It was nice to just go and do my own thing. I had to get some shoes and work out clothes for my journey and let me tell you, that's not easy for a plus size girl with a big butt and wide feet. I finally found some shoes today and got 3 outfits for my workouts. I'll be checking that off of my list for the week.

One thing that I've been thinking a lot about the last few weeks is prayer and my relationship with God. I know that this journey has begun because of a seed that he planted in my head and my heart. I think he's done that many times before, but I wasn't prepared to listen. This time I was able to hear him. I miss having my heart and my ears open to hear him. I have never lost my faith, I've just been a little pre-occupied and it's not been a priority. I need to make it a priority again. I have been trying to pray a little bit more. I've never been great at it, but I used to at least pray every day. I don't do it anymore and haven't done it for a few years. We've also stopped going to church regularly. That was a part of our life and then we just stopped. I'm not sure why. I know for me personally I just felt like I wasn't worthy. I didn't deserve his mercy. I know logicially that this is not how it works, but that's how I feel. So my first life goal is to go back to church. So next Sunday I will be sitting in the pew listening to father preach the homily.
