It's Friday and I'm exausted. All of the raw emotion that has come to the
surface over the last couple of days has made me tired. Don't get me wrong, I
love the well wishes, posts, hugs, and advice that I've been getting from
everyone. I'm just tired. I haven't slept much this week. :-)
This weekend is going to be a time of purging in our house. The fridge and
the pantry are going to be emptied and cleaned. Hopefully when I'm done, there
won't be much left. Roy and I are going to the store this weekend to load up on
the good stuff, I mean the healthy stuff. I need to make a list of the things
that I like that are actually good for me. Veggies are a struggle for me. Not
because I don't like them. I do like lots of vegetables, but only with certain
things, cooked certain ways and only at certain times. I know...I'm strange.
Like for instance I love steamed broccoli lightly salted, served for dinner only
with a steak or a piece of chicken. If I try to eat it any other way at any
other time, I want to puke. This is something that I'm going to have to
overcome. I know this, but tell my gag reflex that. I love lots of other
vegetables too, like zucchini, squash, snap peas, green beans. I just need to
learn to eat them at all different times of the day. Don't ask me how I'm going
to accomplish this because I don't know. I will overcome it. :-)
I'll have to let you all know how that progresses. Anyway, today has been a
fairly decent day. I'm having family over tonight to celebrate Dalton's 12th
birthday (which isn't until next Thursday) because he will be out of town next
weekend for Boy Scouts. I love having people over so I'm looking forward to it.
I also love the look on my child's face when he gets a present that he has
wanted for a while. I'll post pictures.
Have a great Friday night everyone. Talk to you tomorrow. :-)
